The Live Grey Ambassador Program is a collective of grey individuals dedicated to spreading the Live in the Grey message and helping others to blend their personal and professional lives. This series offers some of the wisdom they have to share as they progress on their journey.
What are three things you try to do everyday?
Learn, laugh, and challenge.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
One of the things I love about New York is that it is so many things to so many people. I learned very quickly that every person’s New York experience is different. I started a shared document when I moved and asked people to contribute a few of their favorite things and have made it my goal to take on the list and see the city through the eyes of others. Not only are there endless adventures to be had – this new sense of exploration can happen anywhere!
What’s the best piece of advice you have for someone beginning their grey journey?
Change is often overwhelming – even more so if you don’t feel particularly inspired or even dragged down by the current circumstances. Grey isn’t an end goal, it’s not a total transition. For me, it’s about knowing that you actually have more control over your circumstances than you realized. Big transformation is difficult but focus on the small changes, additions or subtractions in work, at home, and while you play.
What principle or goal is guiding you in your life right now?
Think forward. Reflect backwards. Act here.
